INK Socks for Women

INK Socks
for women

designed by Rebecca Mercier

All rights reserved for personal, nonprofit use.

I designed and knit these socks for my wonderful tattoo artist, Kim Reed. Please check out her site here Milk Made Art and if you are in Savannah, GA. I HIGHLY recommend that you allow her to work her magic on you or purchase some of her art, both are equally amazing! She can be found Savannah's premiere art gallery and tattoo shop, The Butcher

These socks are knit using toe up construction with an afterthought heel.
Stranding technique is used for the word INK on the cuff, it appears on the front and the back of the sock!
I found an outstanding video that helps with locking the floats that happen with this design, the video is found
here, please watch it, it's very helpful!

The INK Socks pattern is found here in pdf format.
Have fun, show the world that you are proud of your INK!

AND the bit of sparkle from SWTC's Little Star yarn gives these slippers a wink at glitz and glam!
Along with a little floral embellishment...perfect for the girly girl (like my daughter Shannon, for whom these were designed!).

Rings of Sarah Socks pattern

One of my daughter's friends, Sarah asked if I would please knit a pair of socks for her like I do for my daughter, thus the name. She loves bright pink and green, thus the colors! And the close up of the pictures (click on each to enlarge) and the pattern will explain the "Rings." I hope you enjoy knitting them as much as I did!

Rings of Sarah Socks pattern is found "here" in pdf format.

This pattern is a great way to use leftover sock yarn! You can make the toes different colors from the heels or use a different color for each toe and heel! Use your imagination and that leftover sock yarn and let's see what you come up with! I know that they will be SO CUTE!

I found that weaving in the ends of the yarn as I knit was very helpful.
I certainly was glad they were all woven in the socks by the time I was finishing the toe and knew I was done!

**Design note, this scarf was designed as a part of the ongoing Pay It Forward Exchange. Please join us, I know you will LOVE it! We also have a group on Ravelry. Come on, you will have a BLAST, I promise!!**

Hope Scarf pattern is found "here" in pdf format.

**Design Note, March 24, 2008**

I have created an addendum to Hope Scarf, which will be "Hope Scarf II" for anyone who might want to knit a scarf that is a bit wider. I’ve not yet knit “Hope Scarf II” so there are no pictures, I’m sure the look will be very similar, just a bit wider. Please keep in mind that with the addition of these few extra stitches that the amount of yarn used will vary from that of Hope Scarf. Instructions are the same as those used with Hope Scarf except the addition of 8 stitches.

Happy Knitting & God Bless
