Wonderful idea! I did the washcloth size for a gift but I really want placemats now. Guess I have to add another WIP to my knitting basket!

Hi!
Beautiful design, thank you for sharing it. How much yarn do I need? Perhaps you have this answered somewhere in the pattern, but I can't find it!
thanks so much

I have a question... why does the pattern call for use of 2 circular needles?

I'm about to modify your pattern to make a small rug for my DD's bedroom. I'm using two strands of double worsted. I made one of the cloth size a bit over a year ago and at the time thought it would be great when we finished her room and now it's finished and needs some rugs... If I'm successful, I'll send you some pics... thanks for the patterns!

very beautiful, I had just made oven mitts with a flower and round pot holders and had a ton of left over yarn from the oven mitts, wanted to do placemats in the round but found this pattern, it almost looks like the flower on the oven mitt.
Thanks so much for sharing!
